The BSc (Hons) Project Management with Foundation Year is tailored to equip you for a wide variety of careers in project management or to help you progress within your current job.
During your Foundation Year, you will develop a variety of employability and academic skills that are crucial for success. You will have the chance to learn the basics of project management, management and leadership theories, as well as academic and professional skills, with a focus on cultivating practical abilities like time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.
The following year of study will delve into more detailed project management and business principles. You will study project management theories and life cycles, along with business and management principles, statistics, data analysis, and decision-making tools. Additionally, you will be introduced to various project management software tools.
As you progress to Level 5, you will concentrate on essential project management competencies, such as quality and performance management, project planning and control, and how to manage projects effectively, efficiently, and sustainably. You will also enhance your research skills in project management.
In your final year, you will explore advanced topics such as risk management, global project management, and managing projects for innovation and change. These modules will boost your confidence in change management and teach you how to handle international projects efficiently. You will also complete a project that allows you to apply your project management skills in a practical setting.
